Now a government minister has been called up for jury service
Friday 9 July 2004 at 12:46 am | In News | Post CommentRural Affairs Minister Alun Michael who has also served as a Home Office minister responsible for police and criminal justice and also a former magistrate has been called for jury service in London.
The Lord Chancellor is to issue guidance to ministers to advise them whether or not they should inform the court of their status or disclose if they have had any involvement in legislation relevant to the case.
It would also appear that even the Prime Minister would not be able to escape jury service.
