So I was delighted to come across John Conway&#8217;s comments at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathpath.org\/concepts\/division.by.zero.htm\" target=\"_blank\">MathPath<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www-history.mcs.st-andrews.ac.uk\/Mathematicians\/Conway.html\" target=\"_blank\">John Conway<\/a> is of course one of the best mathematicians today, having, amongst many other things, invented the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.math.com\/students\/wonders\/life\/life.html\" target=\"_blank\">Game of Life<\/a> and discovered three sporadic finite simple groups, known as the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Conway_group\" target=\"_blank\">Conway groups<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have written about the nonsense that comes about when you divide by 0 or attempt to use like a number.
